7601 34th Avenue S, Minneapolis

Ann Vollmer

January 1, 1920 - September 30, 2018

Age 98+, of Como Park - World's Best Wife, Mom & Nana!

Born January 1, 1920 in Germany, and came to the U.S. in 1922.

Settled in "Frogtown" and attended St. Agnes grade school, Monroe middle school, and graduated from Mechanic Arts in 1937. She met her future husband at Dunning Softball Field as a teen, and the rest is history.

She was not athletic, but was her family's biggest fan and came to as many games as she could in between her housework. She even managed to give Montgomery Ward 25+ years of service.

Mom is preceded in death by parents, Michael and Elizabeth Hinterholz; and husband, John. She is survived by daughter, JoAnn Rolling; sons, Buz (Chyrll) and Robert (Conny); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mom passed away on September 30, 2018 at St. John's Hospital, weeks after a fall and surgery. We would like to thank Sunrise of Roseville for making her feel "at home" for the last year of her life.

She will be laid to rest privately with dad at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
