June 24, 1929 - October 13, 2019

Ardell Jerome Abrahamson, 90, graduated to heaven on October 13th, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jenny Abrahamson, sister, Jeneane Stein and, sister, Darlene Rezentes. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Robert Stein, his nephew and his wife, Robert and Laurie Stein, his niece and her husband, Lori and Alan Fortin and many other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ardell was born in Fosston, Minnesota, on June 24, 1929, and grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He graduated from high school and attended the University of North Dakota and later the University of Minnesota. He went on to travel the world and become a historian. He enjoyed doing research on many different topics, including the Vinland map and the Vikings discovering America. One of his most prized accomplishments was building a steamboat in the Wisconsin Dells.

Ardell loved to read and have discussions about almost anything. He was very intelligent and witty. He attended 2Cities church in Montgomery, Alabama, for the last few years of his life and loved his church family very much. He was a friend to all and a very gentle soul. He unselfishly gave of himself, and we are grateful to the Lord to have had the privilege of having him in our lives.
