Beatrice Marie Meyer

April 28, 1926 - January 1, 2021

Beatrice Marie Meyer (née Gustafson), of Circle Pines, MN, quietly passed away in her sleep on January 1st, 2021.

Bea, as she liked to be called, was born to Carl and Irene Gustafson of Davenport, Iowa on April 28th, 1926. Bea, along with her younger brother Elwood, attended schools in Minnesota and later in California. Bea married Robert David Meyer on January 10th, 1948. Bea and Bob had three children: Jill (Donald) Santanni, Judith (Michael) Loehr, and Jeffrey. Bea also had five granddaughters: Julie (David) Bochet, Melissa (Fady) Boctor, Cheri Santanni, Aimee (Gianmarco) Russo, and Patricia (Christopher) Sherrill. She also had thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bea loved to entertain; holidays and family gatherings were her specialty. She loved to keep busy; her hobbies included playing the piano almost daily, doing craft projects, cooking and baking. Bea was a great cook.  She also owned and operated two beauty shops in the Twin Cities, one in Roseville and one in St. Paul. Bea was a beautician by trade. She also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Traveling, though, was Bea's passion. She and Bob traveled extensively, to Japan, Brazil, Spain, and Ireland, just to name a few.

We all can say that Bea had a very fulfilling life. We will all miss her laughter, her quick wit, and her opinions about almost everything.

Bea is preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene (from a previous marriage); parents, Carl and Irene; her husband, Robert; brother, Elwood; and son, Jeffrey.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 28th at 11:00 AM at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, 7050 Lake Drive (Co Hwy 23), Lino Lakes, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal in Moline, IL, on Wednesday, August 18th at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bea's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children’s Hospital
