Dyane M. Tester

September 26, 1939 - August 20, 2022

Dyane M. Tester, 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her two devoted children and her husband of 58 years on August 20, 2022, after a short but brave battle with cancer and the onset of dementia.

Dyane is survived by her loving husband, Fred, of St. Paul; son, Matthew Tester, of St. Paul; daughter, Jodie (Phil) Tester-Hastings, of Circle Pines; and her beloved grandson, Kyle Hastings. She is also survived by her two brothers, Monte Arhart and Gary (Ruthie) Arhart; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Blanche and Lester Arhart; her sister, Delores Huberty; her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Phyllis Arhart; and sister-in-law Bonnie Arhart.

Dyane was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, daycare provider, and St. Paul Schools lunch lady, who provided humor, strength, wisdom and immense love to all those around her. Dyane M. Tester will be greatly missed by the very many lives she has touched over her 82 years. Her spirit will be in our hearts forever. One of Dyane’s final requests was that everyone have a cold Hamm’s beer in her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Dyane’s birthday, Sunday September 25 at The Lodge, 2800 Rice Street, Little Canada, from 12 Noon-3:30 PM (Go Vikings - please wear your purple!).

The family would like to send a very special thank you to Dyane’s hospice team for their humor, strength and support during these past couple of months. They took incredible care of Dyane and treated the entire family with dignity and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations to be used towards a family bench at the MN State Fair in Dyane’s honor.
