Lisa J. Raduenz

July 9, 1957 - April 13, 2022

Age 64, of St. Paul, passed away April 13, 2022.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Raduenz.

She is survived by her sister, Lori; and extended family, her dear friend, Mary Louise Townsend; loyal friends, Mary Cloutier, Terrie Williams, Mike Tiebel, Jane Prosch-Jensen, Amy Vennewitz, Maureen Scallen, Sherry Munyon, Ann Johnson; and her loving companion, Lucy the Bernedoodle.

Lisa was a long-time active professional in Minnesota’s transportation industry, working most recently with MnDOT to improve transit in Greater Minnesota. She also worked with the University of Minnesota Fleet Services and had a long career in consulting, with special expertise in innovative transportation technologies. Lisa mentored and coached many women and young transportation professionals over her long career and was an early active member and fundraiser for WTS, an organization supporting women in transportation.

In response to tragic accidents, Lisa stepped up to form the nonprofit advocacy group Citizens for Safe Work Zones to champion work zone safety legislative changes. Her efforts were instrumental in getting the work zone speed limit fines changed. She was also working on automated speed enforcement. Lisa was a tenacious, determined advocate and a person who once in action, could not be deterred from her objective.

Friends and family remember Lisa as smart, witty and always up for a good prank. Many examples of her generosity, kindness and compassion have been shared as well.
