Amy Louise Hansen (Volk)

Passed away on June 12, 2026 after fighting breast cancer for 5 years. Throughout her health journey, Amy faced every challenge with immense bravery, grace, and positive spirit. Even in the darkest moments, Amy continued to smile, laugh, and focus on spending time with family and friends.

Age 49, born in St. Paul on Sept. 29, 1976. She weighed in at 8lbs and 15oz. A beautiful bald little girl. She walked at 9 months and 3 weeks and never slowed down!!

She married her high school sweetheart, Jeremy, and they have been with each other for 34 years.

After losing her job after her daughter Alex was born, she went back to school and then again years later to get her BS. She loved working for Medtronic loved learning more about the job to further her career.

Amy got into many hobbies: crocheting, sewing, painting, wood burning and many other crafting things. She loved hanging out with friends and family. She loved reading and watching movies. She could not say no to a good kitchen gadget.

She loved talking with Alex and watching her discover her art and passion for cosmetology. She loved all the animals that we brought into our homes. Amy also really enjoyed traveling and exploring Minnesota in the RV.

Survived by her husband, Jeremy; daughter, Alexandra “Alex”; parents, Don (Jackie) Volk and Bobbi (Dick) Griffith; siblings, Tracey Klinker, Jason Griffith and Tony (Racheal) Constant; parents-in-law, Roger and Renee Hansen; siblings-in-law, Rachel and Eric (Britta); many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

Amy was witty, strong-minded, stubborn and loved learning. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral service 12 PM Monday, June 29 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr., MN 55014. Visitation from 11 AM – 12 PM Monday. Luncheon to follow the service at Chominix Golf Course, 700 Aqua Lane, Lino Lakes, MN 55014.
