Age 64, of Circle Pines, MN.
Peacefully passed away on October 2, 2025 after an unexpected medical emergency.
AmyJo was born in St. Louis Park MN on February 9, 1961 to Johanna and Edson Weeks. She graduated from Forest Lake HS in 1979 and went on to attend Stout College. She was married to Charles Rothbauer on May 4, 1991 in Scandia, MN. They went on to raise one daughter, Amanda Rothbauer.
AmyJo grew up in Minneapolis and then later moved to Forest Lake where she went to high school. She was active in softball and volleyball and continued her love of sports by watching her daughter and nieces and nephews participate in different sports, and later in life became the Minnesota Lynx’s loudest fan! She also loved golf and led a women's golf league and turned her love of golf into a passion for running different golf charity events for many important causes. AmyJo’s love for Minnesota sports ran deep, starting a career early on for Matt Blair of the MN VIkings! She then began a long career where she met some of her very best friends at MoneyGram in St. Louis Park. She worked there for 30 years running many different accounts and getting to travel to all different places in the US and Canada. After she was ready to travel less, AmyJo worked for her local bank and with her sister at PCU where she retired. AmyJo loved spending time with her friends and family, going out to different shows, games, and events, making a friend out of anyone and everyone and instantly turning them into family which was apparent by all of her daughter’s friends calling her mom too! Anywhere AmyJo went she lit up a room with her laughter and happy energy, she will be greatly missed by many.
AmyJo is survived by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Amanda (George and granddaughter Odette); and sister, Candy (Randy) Kolbow; brother-in-law Robert Rothbauer; sisters-in-law, Jan (Tim) Elledge and Roberta Weeks; nieces and nephews, Tim (Kassie) Mosser, Tiffany (Reggie) Weeks, Kristi Weeks, Ed Weeks IV, Melissa (Mitch) Marr, Susan (Paul) Bibb, Andrew (Breanna) Kolbow, and Jess (Kevin) Howard; great nieces and nephews, TJ, Max, Connor, Story, Scarlett, Grant, Gracie, Charlotte and Navy; several cousins, many wonderful friends and honorary kids that also called her mom.
