Andrew John Hauer

Age 78, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022 at HCMC due to cancer, surrounded by loved ones.  Preceded in death by parents, Andrew & Virginia (Mason) Hauer; siblings, Jerome (Janet) Hauer, Rosemary (Robert) Struss, MaryAnn (Thomas) Van Syoc; and sister-in-law, Barbara Hauer.  Survived by siblings, Delores (Doug) Ramsden, Eugene Hauer, Theresa (William) Krysinski, Richard Hauer, Kathleen (Eugene) Houle, Donna Hauer; and many nieces & nephews.  Andrew was stationed in Germany while in the Army, sparking his love of travel. He was very involved in the Minneapolis community, the Democratic Party and had a passion for helping those in need. He enjoyed a great meal with family & friends, often laughing & sharing a great story. He will be remembered for many things: his generosity, love of others, his great smile, contagious laugh, and his beautiful red hair. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.  Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, June 21 at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 171 Elm St., Lino Lakes. Visitation at the church from 10-11 AM Tuesday.  Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
