Ann Marie McCarthy

Ann "Annie" McCarthy, age 57 of Maple Grove, MN, passed away on May 1st, 2026.

Annie was born on September 26th, 1968 in St. Louis Park, MN to Barbara and Blaine Borchers. She attended St. Catherine University for her B.A. and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota for her M.A. in Psychology. She ran her own recruitment firm and worked as an Executive Recruiter for over 25 years.

Annie was a beloved mother, sister, niece, aunt, and great aunt. She was known for her devotion to family. She was proud of her two sons and made sure they grew up knowing how to love and how to stand up for themselves. She was tenacious and could do anything that she set her mind to. She will be remembered for her integrity, her loving spirit, and her selflessness.

Annie is survived by Ken McCarthy and their two sons, Ryan (fiancée Jamie) and Daniel; her fur-babies Rosie and Keely; aunt, Jane Holbert Almanza; siblings, Elizabeth Borchers, Catherine (Steven) Gustafson, and Robert (Tina) Borchers; 10 nieces and nephews; 16 grand nieces and nephews; and dear family friend Rob Kleven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Blaine Borchers.

A funeral service for Annie will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 8 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-2 PM Friday.
