Annie K. Dungey

Annie Kay Dungey (Simmons), age 85, of St. Paul, MN, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born September 25, 1940, in Meridian, MS.

Preceded in death by her parents, James Simmons and Mable Christine Thomas (Hudson); brothers, Walter Hardy Sr., Lawrence Simmons of St. Paul, MN, and Anthony Simmons of Detroit, MI; daughter, Tonya Anita Dungey; sons, Leland Dungey Jr., Clarence Coker, and Perry Miller, and granddaughter, Lareva Smith of St. Paul, MN. 

Survived by her sisters, Mary Simmons and Jamesetta Simmons; brother, Alan Jeffery Simmons of High Point, NC; daughter, Sharon K. Holmes (Terry E. Holmes); son, Loland Brian Dungey of St. Paul, MN; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends. 

Our family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for all the prayers, calls, and messages during this difficult time. 

Celebration of Life 12:00 PM Friday, October 24 at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 451 Central Avenue West, St. Paul, MN. 

Visitation from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday at the church. 

Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
