Arthur G. Peterson
February 17, 1931 — February 3, 2026
Arthur G. "Sonny" Peterson left us to meet his maker, Jesus, on February 3, 2026.
He was born at L.H. Halvorson's farm near Silver Lake, IA on February 17, 1931 to Pearl and Henry Peterson. His sister Patricia H. Peterson I, died in 1933 in an automobile accident.
Arthur served our country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He received the Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1952.
A true patriot, Arthur gifted various charities with funds saved with perseverance and frugality.
He was a good son, bringing his mother home to live with him until her passing in 1983.
He leaves behind four daughters, Patricia H. Peterson II, Debra Peterson, Heidi Peterson, and Greta Peterson; three grandchildren, Jared Leese, Jordan Leese, and Hannah Peterson; and five great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
