Audrey Catherine Metz

Audrey C. Metz passed away surrounded by family on April 13, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Audrey was born on November 10, 1947, to Arvid and Audrey E. Johnson. She was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated from Washington High School in 1965. In June 1965, she met the love of her life, LeRoy. They were married on April 23,1966 and shared nearly 60 wonderful years together. They welcomed their one and only child, LeRoy Jr., in 1970. 

Audrey worked for 30 years at Pearson Candy Company in St. Paul on everything from Nut Goodies to Salted Nut Rolls.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Arvid and Audrey; brother, Arvid; sister, Jenny; nieces, Lisa and Krissy; and nephew Kenny. 

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Sr.; son, LeRoy Jr. (Darcy); grandchildren, Kayleigh (Nick) and Dana; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Emmett, and Julia; siblings, Judy, Bobby, De, and Kenny; and many nieces and nephews. 

Audrey had a deep love for her family and made it a priority to spend time with them—whether that meant weekends with her grandchildren, meaningful conversations with her son, or long, peaceful drives with her husband. She had a way of turning even the simplest moments into something special.

In her free time, Audrey could often be found browsing craft fairs, trying her luck at the casino, tending to her yard, or enjoying a lively game of bingo. 

She had the gift of gab and never met a stranger—only people she hadn’t talked to yet. Bright, warm, and endlessly welcoming, she was the light in every room and the glue that held her family together. 

While her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, there’s comfort in imagining her now—likely enjoying endless servings of salted caramel ice cream, fresh bread, and every sweet treat she ever loved. 

Visitation for Audrey will be held at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home on May 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., located at 7050 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN 55014.
