Audrey A. Smothers

Audrey Ann Smothers, age 92, went home to the Lord on July 25, 2023.

Audrey was born on March 23, 1931 to Higno and Ann Olson of St. Paul, MN. She was a kind, honest, family-oriented and caring person who will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Audrey cherished every moment with her family. She and her husband Hank had a strong Christian faith and loved serving on several committees at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, especially with Cursillo, where they had many friends and made lifelong friendships.

Audrey had many passions. As a campfire leader, she helped with many crafts and singing. She also loved to sew and knit. Audrey was a card shark with bridge being her favorite. She had a love for movies and to travel, whether it was flying somewhere or camping. Audrey had a heart of gold, loved everyone, and went out of her way to make new friends.

Audrey is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry; and their baby daughter, Rachael.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Michael) Keller, Rebecca Erickson, Stephen (Betty) Smothers, Jonathan (Gizelle) Smothers, Sarah (Jeffrey) Bradfield; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Audrey's faith and life.
