Bill Winkel

Bill Winkel, 80, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, playing his games. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria Winkel; sons, Mark (Jill) and Steve (Emily) Winkel; sister, Ann Schmidt; grandchildren, Miranda, Logan, Tony, Victoria, Steph, and Lindsey, 1 great-grandchild, and 9 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Clara Winkel; and brother, Bob Winkel.

Bill worked as a sheriff deputy in Ramsey County for 26 years. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, golfing, and bonfires with his family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 4-8 PM at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, 2130 N Dale St., Roseville, MN.
