Carol Wahl

Carol Wahl (born Irene Carol Diederichs) passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born in Postville, IA. She grew up in Harmony, Minnesota. graduated from Harmony High School, and continued her education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She went on to become a teacher at Houston school district, reflecting her lifelong passion for education.

Soon after, she met the love of her life, Donald Wahl. Don and Carol eventually moved to Circle Pines. Where Carol continued to teach in the Centennial school district. Don and Carol enjoyed 59 years of marriage.

Carol was known for her love of music, horse racing, nature, and travel. Her favorite moments were spent at her cabin with her family and enjoying social hours overlooking Lake Washburn.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Norma Diederichs, and her sister, Corinne Witt.

She is survived by her son, Eric (Lynette) Wahl, daughter, Karen Wahl; grandchildren, Brett Wahl and Kelly Wahl; nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral service 10:00 AM Friday, July 10 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Drive with visitation from 9-10 AM.

Interment will be at 3:00 PM at the Stone Church Cemetery- 6985 State Highway 76, Houston, MN.

Memorials may be made in Carol's memory to MN Conservation Volunteer magazine.
