Charlotte Ann Sistad

Charlotte Ann Sistad (Dougherty), age 34 of St. Paul, passed away November 12, 2025 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Lois Dougherty of Andover, MN; and maternal grandparents, Dan and Patricia Patterson of Austin, MN.

She is survived by her husband, Dustin Sistad; parents, Ann and Michael Dougherty; sister, Dr. Emily Amador; brother in-law, Alex Amador; nephew, Elijah Amador; and nieces, Sophie and Bella Amador. 

Charlotte graduated from Como Park High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota. Charlotte was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and love of animals including her dog, Steven, and cats, Lilly and Josephine. She loved riding horseback, swimming, cooking, gardening, and nature. She enjoyed going up to her family’s Yurt and viewing the sunset on the lake with her husband.

She loved butterflies and won first place in her eighth-grade science fair project which focused on how light effects the development of monarch caterpillars into mature butterflies. She also enjoyed modeling in her teenage years, going to New York and Paris.

She has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved her and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 19 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Tuesday 11/18 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B, and at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Wednesday.
