Chester Dean Svendsen

Chester Dean Svendsen, age 90 of Maplewood, passed away September 30, 2023.

Preceded in death by parents, Chester and Katherine; brother, Lawrence; and grandson, Bryan McDonough.

Survived by wife of 70 years, Barb; children, Richard, Robin (John) Jordan, Randy (Sharon), Ron (Tiffany), Renee (Tom) McDonough, Rusty (Dawn), Rochelle (Gordy) Mallory, and Raelynn (Keith) Colvard; brother, Neil (Gales); 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Dean was a US Army Veteran, 45-year employee of Brown & Bigelow, and a 28-year volunteer firefighter for the Parkside Fire Department in Maplewood.

He was an avid fast-pitch softball player, played baseball for Union Printing, loved fishing, golfing, the outdoors, and most importantly his family.

Dean will be missed by his family, many friends, and all those who knew him.

With respect to our father's wishes, a private family celebration will be held.
