Clara "Ann" Baumgart

Clara "Ann" Baumgart, our beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, age 91 of St Paul, peacefully passed away on May 21, 2023.

Clara “Ann” was born & raised in Carrington, North Dakota. Preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mamie Myers, her husband Edwin Baumgart, siblings Leona, Bill, Les, Ethel, Glenn and Rollin.

Survived by her children, daughter, Donita Baumgart (Bruce); son, Kevin Baumgart (Carole); and daughter, Diane Vasquez (Jesse); grandchildren, Bryan, Heather, Andrew, Erin, Laura, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Bennett, Logan, Emme, Sidney, Raylan, Margo, Lucy, Sean; and many nieces and nephews.  

Clara worked in the retail, manufacturing, and aerospace industries as an accountant until her retirement. She was married at North Emanuel Lutheran Church in St Paul where she was a lifelong member. She participated in the Women's Bible study group. She was also a member of the church sewing group where she created beautiful quilts and baby blankets. Clara was blessed with the creative talents of sewing, floral artwork, and gardening. She loved her church and its members.

Clara spent her last 5 years at Heritage Place of Roseville, a retirement community where she met great people and had many friends. Mom was a happy, outgoing person that loved to tell stories. Since Mom’s passing we have had the opportunity to talk with many residents of Heritage who had many nice things to say about Clara.

She will be terribly missed by all who knew her however, we cherish all the love and memories she gave us.

Family is to honor her with a private interment and Celebration of Life service.
