Corinna Joyce Putnam

Corinna, from Gastonia, North Carolina was born August 21, 1941, and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in the loving care of her family in while in Minnesota.

She was born in the town of Stecoah, North Carolina and preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Flora Crisp; and eight sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jennings Putnam, daughter, Lynn Gray, son, Jeffrey (Wayne) Putnam, grandson, Christian Putnam, granddaughter, Emily Gray, great grandson, Daegan Putnam and numerous nieces and nephews.

Corinna enjoyed taking hikes, reading, gardening, singing, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a fun, sarcastic sense of humor that set her apart from others and which others enjoyed deeply. Corinna was always on the go and moving with great energy. She couldn’t keep still and was full of life. She often tired people out with all that energy. She enjoyed walking on the beach and in the foothills of North Carolina.

In August of 2025, Corinna suffered a stroke and then with her husband moved to Minnesota in the care of her daughter, Lynn, until her final moments. She was well loved and cared for.

She will have a service at Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3106 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056, at a date to be determined.
