Age 76, of Roseville, passed away suddenly, but peacefully at home, on November 17, 2023.
Preceded in death by parents, George & Florence Leverty; and siblings, Beverly Timm & Thomas Leverty.
Survived by loving wife, Pat; daughters, Shelley (Jeremy) DeSmith, Karen (Matt) Sundeen; son, Dan Leverty; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark), Riley, Jaxon, Chloe, Colin, Jared, Sam, and Zavier; great grandchildren, Luke, Jacob and Adelle; and many loving extended family & friends.
Moose served with the Army in Vietnam where he was decorated with three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star Medal. Following his honorable service, he worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Ramsey County retiring after 28 1/2 years.
In retirement, Moose and Pat enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers in Minnesota with their family. He was an avid golfer with three holes-in-one. He was also a nationally recognized fast-pitch softball pitcher and was inducted into the hall of fame. Above all, Dave truly enjoyed attending and supporting all of his grandchildren's endeavors.
Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday, November 26 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 N. Dale Street at County Rd. B.
Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 AM Monday, November 27 at Roseville Lutheran Church, 1215 Roselawn Ave. W., Roseville followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. All are welcome.
Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
