As we lay David (aka Boogie) to rest, we should remember his gentle heart, his loyalty and love he has marked on every single one of us. We will remember his passion for karate as a little boy, basketball, writing songs/freestyles, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. He built so many great relationships in his 23 years that we will all hold dear to us. I know David is with Jesus because he accepted God into his life as his Lord and savior when he was little and he always put God first in his life and talked to God regularly. Boogie would help anyone in their time of need; he was the real definition of “he would take his shirt off for anyone” and he lived life everyday like that. David just got his own apartment that he was so proud of and was going for his GED next. He had so much more to accomplish, and he would have done it all because he had self-motivation and that drive to do so. He had dreams of flipping houses one day and really started to talk about that before he passed. He wanted to take his life seriously, to a whole other level and accomplish big things. Every move he made was to be a better human and to better the ones around him. We will miss him beyond measure, and we will think of him and all the love he shared and left us with every day. The same memories that make us laugh will now make us cry as well…what is most important is to hold on tight to those memories and forever cherish them. His name will forever be kept alive.
