Dennis Daniel Gombus

Dennis Daniel Gombus, age 86, of Lino Lakes, MN, passed away in his sleep at his residence on April 16, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1940, to Fabion Gombus and Marcella Chmielewski in Foley, MN.

Dennis was a trucker for a few years and owned his own trucking business. Dennis had a passion for gunsmithing, reading, and country music. He also enjoyed deer hunting in his younger years. He was surprisingly a great dancer, some may say he even "tore up the dance floor". It was through dancing that he met his life partner, Dorothy, in 1992; they then created a life together in Circle Pines, MN, that lasted nearly 35 years.

He is survived by his dear friend and life partner, Dorothy Hamann; sons, Daniel, Chris, and Gary Gombus; mother, Marcella "Sally" Gombus; ex-wife, Betty Gombus; grandchildren, Joy, Lyryque, and Blaze Gombus; 6 great-grandchildren; a niece, nephew, and many acquaintances he met throughout his work and hobbies.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fabion Gombus; sister, Glennis Novak; and brother-in-law, Florian "Flip" Novak.
