Dorothy D. Hiel (Stoehr)

A woman whose listening ears, gentle words, and caring heart were felt by many.

Age 94, of Roseville, Minnesota passed away on May 11, 2026.

Preceded in death by husband, Donald G. Hiel and daughter, Rhonda Sue Hiel.

Survived by children, Roger Hiel, Rodney (Thusuong) Hiel, and Grace Hiel; grandchildren, Greg (Amber), Rachel, Kelly (Joel), Eric (Jaycee), Philana, Jessica (Landon), and Samantha; and six great-grandchildren.

Mom was born in Jefferson City, MO. Raised during the Depression. Graduated from Jefferson City High School. Met the love of her life (Donald G. Hiel), a Wisconsin farmer boy, at a Community Dance. After their first meeting, Dad did everything he could to come back to her from the Korean War as fast as he could. Married on June 20, 1953; their love grew and so did their family size. Together they raised beautiful children. She gave up her job as a Bookkeeper for Jefferson Bus Line to stay home with her kids. The values and love they instilled in those kids are immeasurable.

Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, May 21 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 Dale St. N.

Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 am Friday, May 22 at Roselawn Cemetery Chapel, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave, Roseville followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.

Interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
