Skip grew up in Southeast Minneapolis where he met many life long friends. He went to Tuttle Elementary and Marshall High School where he met the love of his life, Becky Lou Larson. Skip proudly served in the US Navy and was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran. After the Navy he made his way as a talented mechanic and body shop owner for many years, then finishing his life work in truck parts sales. He was a devoted family man, loved coaching Kimmer in softball and Kenny in basketball. He was in Indian Guides with Ken where they had many adventures, some that included stitches! The family spent many years camping, water skiing and tubing just about every summer weekend. Skip loved being on the water most and had multiple boats over the years, his favorite being named “Skp to My Lou”. Skip and Becky slipped their boats at River Grove Harbor and later at the St. Paul Yacht Club, where they met many more life long friends. He loved his wife, kids most, and family and friends and living life to the fullest. Over the years he endured a number of health situations and was a fierce fighter, til the end. God finally decided he did not have to fight any longer and could rest. Skip passed peacefully with his children by his side and will be forever loved and missed by all.
