Burke

Mueller-Bies - Roseville Chapel
4:00 - 7:00 pm (Central time)
Gene Burke, age 59 passed away peacefully Sunday June 14, 2026, at 2:23pm, surrounded by the love of his family while listening to the music he loved most that of Bob Seger. His final moments reflected the way he lived his life—comforted by those he loved and the simple joys that brought him peace.
Gene was a rare soul whose kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He lived with a quiet strength and an unwavering commitment to others, always placing the needs of family, friends, and even strangers before his own.
Even in passing, Gene's compassion continues to make an extraordinary impact. He was among the small percentage of individuals eligible for organ donation, a gift that speaks volumes about the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. Through his final act of generosity, Gene gave others a second chance of life.
His liver was successfully transplanted into a 66-year-old man, his right kidney saved the life of a 61-year-old woman, and his left kidney saved the life of a 56-year-old woman. In addition, several tissues and his eyes were recovered, ensuring that Gene's gift of healing and hope will continue to touch countless lives for years to come.
While his family mourns about the loss of a beloved father, grandfather, family member, and friend, they find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on—not only in the memories he created and the love he shared, but also in the lives he saved. His final gift reflected the man he always was. Caring, giving, and deeply devoted to helping others.
Gene will be remembered for his loving heart, his generous spirit, and the countless ways he made the world better simply by being in it. Though he is no longer with us, his influence remains, carried forward by those who loved him and by the lives forever changed through his remarkable gift of donation.
A life well lived. A legacy of love. A gift that will endure for generations.
