Eugene A. Schwartz

Gene passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025 at the age 91 and 9 months. 

Preceded in death by wife, Patricia; parents, Joseph and Florence; brother, Michael; and grandson, Jonathan Gagliardi. 

Survived by children, Laurie (Kerry) Lorenz, Michelle (John) Gagliardi, Greg (Mary) Schwartz, Melissa (Larry) Peterson; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Joey (Kathy); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Gene was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean war and was a member of the St. Paul Growers Association. His life revolved around his family, his dog Daisy, his love of farming, fishing, and the many adventures and shenanigans he shared with family and friends. He lived life large! 

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, September 5 at The Church of the Assumption, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul. Visitation at the church from 9-10 AM Friday. 

Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Peace, 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104.
