Evelyn “Ev” Wendt, age 88, of Maplewood, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 20, 1937, Ev was a kind, loving, and playful woman who found joy in simple things, like gardening, feeding the ducks, and greeting others with laughter. She was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life.

Ev was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Schmitt; siblings Lucille Hager, Larry Murphy, Darlene Bohnert; and son-in-law Roque Pastorius.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Wendt; children Kathy Pastorius, Deb Cassman (Jon Koch), Tammy (Walt) Fischer, Paul (Raina) Wendt; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marie Weber.

Ev lived her life with quiet faith and trust in God. Her family finds peace in knowing she is now reunited in heaven with loved ones who went before her and embraced by the love of Jesus.
