Franklin L. Gurney

Age 86, of St. Paul, passed away on January 1, 2023.

Preceded in death by first wife, Janice; and sister, Lois (Elmer) Vogel.

Survived by current wife, Sharon Olson-Gurney; children, Steve (Barb) Gurney, Dianne (Glenn) Rusler, Mike (Janelle) Olson, David (Anna) Gurney, Kim (Ron) Kubicek, Michelle (Brad) Charchenko, Scooter Olson; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Frank attended Mechanic Arts H.S., served in the Marine Corps, became an electrician with the IBEW Local #110 where he eventually served as Union President, was involved with the St. Paul Winter Carnival, Minneapolis Aquatennial as well as many other civic organizations and volunteered his time with Maternity of Mary Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 10 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 N. Dale St., St Paul. Visitation 4-7 PM Monday at

Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd. B and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 AM.

Private interment Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a charity of donor’s choice.
