Gary L. Holman

Gary L Holman, age 78, of St. Paul, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025.

He is survived by wife Donna; sons, Scott and Dan; grandchildren, Luke, Sarah, and Daisy; his sister Sharyn Heisick, brother Terry Holman, sister Laurie Holman, and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was born and raised in St. Paul. His family was the center of his life. He had said the births of his sons were the happiest moments of his life. He was delighted to become a grandpa and cherished his time with his grandkids.

Gary was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps, with active service from October 14th, 1965 to August 27, 1968. He was a member of VVA Chapter 470 of Anoka where he participated in many activities, including the honor guard. His close friendship with these fellow veterans always meant a lot to him.

Gary put his family first. Working hard to support them was a key focus in his life. He applied his passion for entrepreneurship and sales by working in various sales positions and starting multiple businesses. One of the businesses was a pet supply distribution company. Later in his career Gary worked at the McGlynn's Bakery (later known as Ralcorp). Even after retirement Gary enjoyed participating in the sales business by supporting his son's own business.

Gary will be deeply missed. His love, kindness, and consideration for us all will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.

Funeral service 12 PM Monday, August 4 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St., Roseville, MN 55113. Visitation from 2-5 PM Sunday and from 11 AM - 12 PM Monday. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
