George B. Hartung

George was born June 20, 1951 in Madison, WI to George and Thelma (nee Boyd) Hartung and passed away on April 6, 2024 in Maplewood, MN at the age of 72.  

Survived by life partner of 33 years and recent wife, Jamey Walker; step-son, Damian (Andrea) Walker, step-daughter, Heather (Tom) Thomson; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Pringle and Cindy (Mick) Fraser-Johnson; many nieces and nephews.

George graduated from the West High School in Madison, WI Class of 1969. He loved spending time with his family, helping others, and communicating with people from all over the world with his ham radio. He enjoyed the outdoors being on a pontoon, sailboat or in a canoe. On his artistic side, his talents included playing guitar and singing. Online gaming was a passion for George, especially Wordle and Forge of Empires.

Memorial service 11:00 AM Sunday, April 21 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Drive (Co Hwy 23). Visitation from 10 – 11 AM.
