Gerald T. O'Malley

Gerald “Jerry” O’Malley, age 82, of Roseville, MN, passed away peacefully in his home on December 29, 2023. 

Born in River Falls, WI in December 1941 to James and Alice O’Malley, Jerry grew up on a farm with his four brothers (Jimmy, Pat, David, and Tim) and his sister (Helen). 

Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. A father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Jerry loved cheering for the Vikings from his brown recliner chair, saved everything (including a lifetime supply of bread twist ties), and enjoyed eating a good breakfast or slice of blueberry pie at Perkins. He loved tinkering with cars and things around the house. We are certain the term “Jerry rigged” was coined after our dad. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 2 at 2:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Air Force Aid Society.
