Geraldine E. Berc

Geraldine "Geri" Ella Berc, 83, of Vadnais Heights, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Barta; father, Melvin Magnuson; brothers, Robert Magnuson, Donald Magnuson, and Stephen Magnuson; and sister, Darlyne Bauer.

She is survived by her husband, Max Berc, Jr.; children, Timothy Berc (Andrea) and Nicole Seiffert (Christian); grandchildren, Christian Berc, Lily Berc, Johan Seiffert, Logan Gareis, and Lance Gareis; sister-in-law, Margaret Magnuson; cousin, Linda Ghamsari; nieces, nephews, and loving relatives and friends.

Geri was the kindest person and most devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She never missed her children's sports games, driving hours to every practice, playing catch in the backyard, and watching endless tennis matches. She was an avid Twins fan who rarely missed watching a game on TV and cherished seeing them win the World Series twice in person.

She loved to travel, especially taking road trips with her husband and sister to the Black Hills, Alaska, and Las Vegas. Geri had a special love for Hawaii, where she took countless vacations with her family, creating cherished memories. She adored the golden retrievers she and her husband had throughout their long life together. She especially loved her lake home in northern Minnesota, which she and her husband built together and where they spent most weekends until a few years ago.

She was a fantastic cook, and her Swedish meatballs were legendary. Geri really enjoyed playing card games, Scrabble, and Sorry with her kids and later with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her, and especially by her husband of 67 years.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to her at-home caregivers, as well as the hospice staff.

Funeral service for Geri will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B. Visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 AM Wednesday. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
