Gloria M. Akins

Age 94, of Roseville, passed away on April 18, 2022.​Preceded in death by husband, William (2002); brother, Clarence; and sister, Virginia.   Survived by son, Daniel (Karen); grandsons, Andy (32) and Sam (29); and cousins, Ann Prescott and Rita Igo.  A graduate of Humboldt High, worked for West Publishing as a legal verifier (1945-1958), devoted wife to Bill, loving mother of her only child, Dan.  She was a large contributor to charities, a volunteer at hospitals and as a meals-on-wheels driver.  A lover of dogs, sweets, people watching, old Hollywood movies and Minnesota.  Of sound mind to the end, she was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.   A gathering of reflection and celebration will be held at Roselawn Cemetery Chapel, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville on Tuesday April 26. Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, ceremony at 11:00 AM.  Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery following ceremony.   In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Dorothy Day Catholic Charities or ASPCA.
