Wendy Hinrichs

Wendy Hinrichs, age 45, of Landfall, Minnesota, passed away on July 11, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Sharon (Krummel) Hinrichs; grandparents, Al and Laverne (Nash) Krummel and Jerry and Joanne (Schauer) Hinrichs; uncles, Jim Hinrichs and Jim Krummel; and many beloved pets.

Wendy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Tyler Bagley; her cherished pets, Mina, Poe, Blanche, and Sebastian; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Born and raised in St. Paul, Wendy attended East St. Paul Lutheran School (ESPL) and Central High School. She had an incredible love for animals and shared her life with many beloved pets over the years. Her soul cat was Wicket—her "Ewok"—who held a special place in her heart.

Music was Wendy's greatest passion. Her taste was wonderfully eclectic, but pop-punk was where she felt most at home. Good Charlotte was her all-time favorite band, though Taylor Swift was never far behind. She spent years traveling the country to see live concerts, making lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories along the way. So immersed in the music community, she even spent time selling merchandise at shows and was featured in a book celebrating the history of the Vans Warped Tour. Over the years, she also built an impressive collection of CDs and vinyl records that reflected her love of music.

When she wasn't at a concert, Wendy could usually be found curled up with a good book or enjoying a favorite TV show or movie. She built an extensive personal library that reflected her lifelong love of reading. She was also an avid fan of Star Wars, AEW wrestling, General Hospital, and great film and television. Halloween and Christmas were her favorite holidays, and she delighted in decorating her home for each season and watching themed movies. In true Wendy fashion, she even created her own "12 Days of Christmas" tradition—which meant watching a different Star Wars movie every night.

When Wendy liked something, she loved it wholeheartedly. She was fiercely loyal, deeply thoughtful, and cared immensely for the people and pets in her life. Her passions were contagious, her friendships were lasting, and her kindness will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 13, at 3:30 p.m. at Irvine Park Pavilion, 251 Walnut St., St. Paul, MN 55102. A Celebration of Life will follow from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Shamrocks Irish Nook, 995 7th St. W., St. Paul, MN 55102. In true Wendy fashion, guests are invited to celebrate her life over one of her favorite burgers while sharing stories, laughter, and memories.

In honor of Wendy's lifelong love of animals, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society through a fundraiser established in her memory. The family hopes to celebrate Wendy's compassionate spirit by helping animals find the same love and care she gave so freely throughout her life.
