Jack David Holter

May 13, 1996 — April 21, 2022

On Wednesday, April 21, 2022, Jack left us suddenly and too soon. He was 25.Jack grew up in Roseville, MN and graduated from St. Rose of Lima grade school and Mounds Park Academy high school. Jack attended Seattle University from 2014-2016 and was currently a student at Hamline University, studying biochemistry and planning to finish his degree in the coming year. Jack became a certified EMT in 2021 and was excited to pursue a career in healthcare, hoping to become a paramedic or a nurse after graduating from Hamline. He said that once he rode in an ambulance during his EMT training, he knew that was where he wanted to be.   He loved attending music festivals and seemed to be either returning from one or planning the next. He was always up for a road trip and traveling to new places. Jack loved the water. Growing up, he spent many summers with his cousins Amanda, Ashley and Bridgette at his grandparents’ house on the lake, and he had fond memories of his Papa taking all of  them tubing behind the boat. In high school, he learned how to scuba dive and was a natural at it.   Jack was outgoing – he loved talking to and being around other people. He was an amazing conversationalist and smart in many topics. Jack was an empath, and loved taking care of and doing things for friends and family. He had a huge heart, and was incredibly generous. He was funny, and fun to be around. Jack is remembered for his beautiful smile, his sense of humor, love of quirky internet memes, and his generosity to friends and family. He had a sweet soul, and just wanted to be loved. Jack will be missed tremendously and be in our hearts forever.Jack is survived by his parents, Scott Holter and Lisa (Campion) Holter Ankel; his step-father Felix Ankel; his brothers, Mitchell Holter and Atticus Ankel; his grandparents Bill and Kathy Campion, and Sandie Holter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 11 AM Monday, May 2 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale Street at County Road B. Visitation from 5-7 PM Sunday and from 10-11 AM Monday. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Service will be livestreamed at muellerbies.com/livestreams.Memorials preferred.
