James "Jim" Deutsch

Age 81, of Mounds View, passed away peacefully, with his children by his side, on February 22, 2025.

Preceded in death by wife, Mary; son, Robert Wayne James Podvin; parents, Leonard & Margaret Deutsch; sister, Judy Gannon; and brothers, Mike, Robert, Tom & Dennis Deutsch.

Survived by children, John (Clare) Podvin, Denise (Mark) Sullivan, Yvonne (Ernie) Ziemann, Kimberly Deutsch; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Renee) Deutsch; sister, Linda (Steve) Milton; many nieces, nephews, other family & friends.

Funeral service 10:00 am Thursday, February 27 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Lino Lakes), 7050 Lake Dr. (County Hwy. 23). Visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 - 10:00 am Thursday.

Interment with full military honors at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. So., Minneapolis at 12:30 pm Thursday, February 27 (Assembly Area #4). Please, do not enter the cemetery through the main gate, please enter through Gate #2 and proceed directly to Assembly Area #4 by 12:15 pm.
