James W. Kinsel

Preceded in death by parents, Isabel & Gerald Kinsel; brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Mary Kinsel; and nephew, Mike Kinsel.

Jim graduated from Wilson High, Hamline University and the University of Minnesota. He received a National Science Foundation Grant to San Jose University, CA and taught Mathematics at Roseville Schools for 39 years.

He loved his faith, family, teaching, sports (especially baseball), traveling the world, fishing, and good mystery books.

He is survived by wife of 39 years, JaNell; sons, Steve (Sharon) and Jeff (Shelley); daughter, Shelley Cristello (Tim Woller); and former wife, Gloria Kinsel.

He is also survived by grandchildren, Tyler, Steven (Kasaundra), Meghan (Matt), Lauren (Alan), Andrew (Leah), Rachel (Derick), Ashley and Alyssa. Jim’s joy was his 15 great grandchildren.

Also survived by sister, Judy (Mick) MacDonald; brother-in-law, Rollin (Karen) Titus; sister-in-law, Julie (Butch) Sievers; Godchild, Caroline; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5 at Jehovah Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1566 Thomas Ave. W. @ Snelling Ave., St. Paul, with funeral service and luncheon to follow.

Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
