James Walter Vlahadamis, 51, of Cambridge, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.  James was born on December 5, 1970, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Harry and Juliana Vlahadamis. The family relocated to Grantsburg, Wisconsin, in 1983 to return to the family homestead. There James helped his family establish a hobby farm and spent countless hours caring for the chickens, peacocks, pheasants and pigs, weeding the gardens and fishing for sunfish in Trade Lake. James graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1989. He moved back to St. Paul, Minnesota in 1991, to help care for his grandmother. He was a daily altar server at St. Vincent de Paul Church in St. Paul for many years and ministered to many senior parishioners in the Church. Whether helping with yard work, shopping for groceries, or spending an afternoon playing cards, James’ heart for others was always clear. Despite the numerous medical challenges he faced throughout his life, James’ optimism and joy for life never wavered. His gentle spirit and innocent heart were evident to everyone he encountered. A master of the “one-liner”, his charm and quick wit could brighten any day. His family was incredibly important to James and he treasured time spent together. He loved animals, fishing, bowling, video games, watching game shows, dining out at restaurants, trips to the casino and lottery tickets.  James is survived by his sisters, Angela (Andrew) Morrow of Lindstrom and Amanda (Kristopher) Jensen of Center City, and his 16 nieces and nephews: Brittany, Dominic, Elliott, Isabella, Gabriel, Colton, Reagan, Grayson, Lincoln, Spencer, Edison, Kassidy, Vincent, Jefferson, Thaddeus and Franklin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Vlahadamis and Juliana Keepman, stepfather, Jay Keepman, MD, maternal grandparents, Walter and Patricia St. Lawrence, paternal grandparents, James and Mary Vlahadamis and nephew, Prescott Morrow.  Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church, 13060 Lake Blvd., Lindstrom.
