Jane T. Dagen (Holly)

Of Woodbury and Hanging Kettle Lake, Aitkin MN.

Our sweet Jane passed away peacefully at home after a seven-year challenge with cancer. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Don and Lil Holly, who were waiting for her. 

Survived by her loving husband, Jeff, who cared for her and traveled her journey with her every day until the end. Also survived by her four-legged BFF, Millie. Millie knew her Mama was passing and was a great comfort. Also survived by her siblings, Marilyn (Holly) O’Dea (Robert), Donald Holly Jr., Gregory J. Holly (Wendy); and the Dagen family: Arlie and Pat, and brothers Jon (Jenny) and Jerry (Tina). And, of course, the people she enjoyed most, her nieces and nephews. Jane was the “good mom” to them and when she didn’t buy stuff for herself, it was for them: Holly (O’Dea) Rieger, Heather (O’Dea) Grudt, Kelsey Dagen, Jack Dagen and fiancé Molly, Jonah Dagen, Carly Dagen, Owen Holly, Henry Holly. Greta Holly and fiancé Andrew. And, there’s more: grand-nephews and -nieces: Jaden Dagen, Jacob Dagen, Matthew Rieger, Charlie Rieger, Avery Grudt and Jonathan Grudt. Also, many cousins and friends. 

Jane was a joy in all our lives, never judged, generous, caring, a good listener, and just a great soul. 

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10 at The Catholic Church Of St. Casimir, 934 Geranium Ave E., St. Paul. Visitation from 10-11 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. 

A special thank you to the awesome care provided to her by Minnesota Oncology and Dr. Jessica Thomes Pepin and Our Lady of Peace Hospice. Their care was a blessing given with love and dignity. Jane, her mother Lil, and her sister Marilyn volunteered at Our Lady of Peace for years.
