Jason will be remembered by his family and friends for amazing dry sense of humor and his kind generosity towards others. He truly was a gentle giant and always thought of others before himself. He had an intense approach to life as well as his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 13 at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 2030 N. Hamline Ave, Roseville. Visitation at the church from 9-10 AM Friday 10/13. Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Alcoholism was a small part of his life, but we know Jason would want to take this opportunity to encourage his family and friends to take time to reflect on your own drinking habits and your own mental health. If you think your drinking could be a problem, please get help now. Consider challenging yourself to quit drinking for 30 days to see if you notice positive benefits - or like a wise friend once said: “to make sure you can”.
"Every recovery from alcoholism began with one sober hour."
It starts with one hour, then it becomes one day, then a week - and before you know it you are on the road to recovery. No one starts off with a year of sobriety behind them and neither will you. Start slow and keep moving forward.
"If you're not moving away from a drink, then you're moving closer to it."
