Jean Marie Byland

Age 92, peacefully passed away on June 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 13, 1933, and lived a life marked by love, strength, and devotion to those she held dear.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She found great joy in her family, and her greatest legacy is the love and values she passed on through the generations.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Byland and Tom Byland (Nicole); ten cherished grandchildren; and 13 beloved great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her memory through the lives they lead.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Byland; daughter, Debra; son, Robert; and sister, Georgine Misukanis.

Jean will be remembered for her unwavering love, strength, and the warmth she brought to her family and friends. She will also be known for her strong faith and devotion to God. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, July 1 at the Church of the Holy Childhood, 1435 Midway Pkwy., St. Paul followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery.
