Jean Smiley

Age 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018​She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Donald P. Smiley in 2000; sisters, Lauretta (Maurice) Wohler and Helen (Leonard) Rose; and brother, Don (Monica) Koenders.​Survived by their children, Susan (James) Campbell of Phoenix, AZ, Cheryl (Dennis) Hjelle of Shoreview, Donald P. Smiley, Jr. (Mary) of Little Canada, and Robert Smiley of Woodbury; grandchildren, Richard, Christine, and Joseph (Kelsey) Hjelle, James, Jeannine (Michael) Wheeler, Pamela (Cole) Schnaible; great-grandchildren, Carter and Aiden Hjelle, Preston and Lawson Wheeler; several nieces and nephews. ​Jean had been a resident of Roseville, MN and the St. Paul area since 1959.​The family will be available at 1 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 with the memorial service following at 2 PM at Presbyterian Church of The Way, 3382 N. Lexington Ave., Shoreview, MN.​In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bemis Holland Presbyterian Church c/o First Presbyterian Church, 212 Merrill St., Castlewood, SD 57223 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2025 E. River Pkwy., Minneapolis, MN 55414, where Jean was a patient at ages 7 and 9, and Donald P. Smiley interned in 1956.
