John F. Schmidt

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather​Age 86 of Shoreview, passed away on December 11, 2022.  Preceded in death by first wife, Darlene; father, Raymond; mother, Gisella; and brother, Bob.   Survived by wife, Kathy; daughters, Laura (Fred) Krueger, Julie Fredrickson, Jeanne (Bob) Karschnia; son, Steven (Sheila) Schmidt; stepson, Peter (Chris) Leyden; sister, Carol (Jack) Steigauf; sister-in-law, Jan Schmidt; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and good friends.  Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, December 19 at THE CHURCH OF ST. GENEVIEVE-Parish Community Center, 6995 Centerville Rd. Centerville. Visitation from 10-11 AM Monday at the parish center.  Private interment Roselawn Cemetery.   Jack worked for 39 years for the Burlington Northern Railroad.   In lieu of flowers, Jack requested donations be made to Children’s Minnesota or donor’s choice.
