Survived by siblings, Art (Gloria), Suzanne (Thomas) Hilgert, and Tim (Heidi); sister-in-law, Nancy; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Michelle), Tim, Ann (Blair), Jeff (Gioconda), Amy, Seth (Kaari), Ryan (Sarah), and Caitlin (Aaron); great nieces and nephews, Arthur, Tara, Erin, Emily, Elena, Lucy, Grady, and Cora; many other relatives and friends.
50-year member of Steamfitters-Pipefitters Local 455.
Lifelong resident of Como Park and member of St. Andrew's/Maternity of Mary Parishes.
John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 29 at ROSELAWN CEMETERY CHAPEL, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville. A social gathering will take place immediately following the service at Rosetown American Legion, 700 W. County Road C, Roseville.
