Joyce E. Nellis

Age 88 of New Brighton, passed away on December 6, 2020.

Survived by her husband, Wm. Merton Nellis; her brother, Michael (Dianne) Menne; stepchildren, Melissa Nellis of Roseville, Morrey (Carol) Nellis of Minneapolis, and Kent (Ann) Nellis of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many DuPlessis and Menne cousins.

Joyce was a career school teacher and retired after 30 years in the Minneapolis School system teaching primary grades, and later taught General Studies part time at the Minneapolis Jewish Day School for several years. She was a Ramsey County Master Gardener and loved her gardens and orchard at her cabin on Lower Little Pine Lake near Finlayson, Minnesota, where she and her husband spent their summers. 

A private memorial service will be held.
