Listen to Obituary

Age 83 of Shoreview, passed away on September 27, 2025.

Preceded in death by husband, Ken; and brother, Jack Stodola

Survived by children, Mike, Michelle (Dan) Glomb, and Mark (Shannon); grandchildren, Nick (Megan), Natalie, Taylor, and Katrina; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Briella.

Judy grew up in St Paul, MN - raised by John and Edna Stodola with her brother, Jack, and attended Monroe High School. She is still very connected with those friends from Monroe to this day and her family is blessed to be surrounded by their support during Judy’s recent struggles with her health.

After graduating from High School, Judy married the love of her life, Ken in 1961. They first settled in St Paul before building their home in Roseville where they raised their 3 kids Mike, Michelle, and Mark. Judy was always the biggest fan of all of her kids' sports and school activities, and frequently volunteered in their classrooms. When the kids began to move out to create their own families, she began work at UPS, local schools working with children with disabilities, and Carson’s at the mall. Judy enjoyed bowling leagues, and occasional weekends away with the girls for tournaments. She enjoyed many weekends at Lake Minnewawa with family and sometimes weeks at a time during the summers when Ken had to go back to work.

As the family grew, she spent many of her days watching their grandkids - they are her pride and joy. Family parties were one of her many favorite things to do, getting together with the larger, extended family. When the great grandkids started to arrive, that’s when she truly was in her glory. She and Ken spent their winters in St. Petersburg, FL, since 1993, where they made many friends and wonderful memories. Judy’s favorite thing outside of spending time with family was shopping. If you needed a deal, wanted a gift idea, or needed help planning a party she was the go to. From local MN stores, groceries, local craft fairs and her Florida favorites, she was in her element at them all. She was an incredible host, cook, and the most thoughtful gift-giver, but more importantly, was a person who created countless fond memories of special occasions for everyone around her.

Judy spent her last days in transitional care, then hospice, at Waverly Gardens. We can’t thank the staff enough for their kind hearts and taking care of her with Grace and compassion. We especially want to thank Jesse, Linda, Kylie and Elizabeth. Even though she is gone, we will all remember her for her unwavering kindness, generosity, laugh and her infectious smile.
