Kari J. Foley

Kari passed away in the hospital on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the age of 64 years and 7 months. Kari was born in Duluth MN on September 27, 1961 to Barbara and Kenneth Littler. She had one sisters and one brother.

Kari is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Littler; sister Karla Holmstrom; brother Kevin Littler; grandmother Olive Littler; and grandfather Forest Littler.

She is survived by her father Kenneth Littler; her son Nelson (Laura) Foley; granddaughter Cassandra Foley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family lived in Lexington Village, Fridley and Ham Lake MN. She completed her high school in Fridley and her nursing degree in Minneapolis. Kari and Brennan Foley were married on January 6, 1986. They had one child, Nelson Ewan Foley who gave her one granddaughter Cassandra.

She did a lot of interesting things with an adventurous spirit that would not be tied down, such as piloting a crab fishing boat off the coast of California. She was most proud of being able to keep the boat on line while picking up fishing buoys in rough water. She was an interesting person, reading and thought about the world, deeply caring in her way.

The memory of the way she looked for kindness and acceptance every day regardless of how she was encumbered by handicap or pain will cause her spirit to live in all of us.

Funeral service 2 PM Wednesday, May 13 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr., Lino Lakes, MN 55014. Visitation from 1 - 2 PM Wednesday. Interment will be at Sunrise Cemetery, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN 55811 on Thursday, May 14 at 1 PM.
