Waiting impatiently for his Heavenly Home, Ken passed on August 27th, 2026.

He was born to Paul and Alice (Ohmann) Groth of Rosemount, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Donna Hjortaas. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda (nee Kilian), sons, Phil Groth , Nick (Gina) Groth, and most beloved grand kiddos, Max, Miles and Emma. He is also survived by sisters, Margaret Ann (Dave) Boyum of Woodbury, MN, Carol (Pat) Kelehan of Emily, MN, Cheri (Kevin) Yager of Fifty Lakes, MN and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Ken graduated from Rosemount High in 1963 and later became a plumber for almost 40 years. He loved skiing (water and snow), biking, hiking, boating, card games, cribbage, baseball, football, basketball, and later golf. But most of all he loved being with family. After the nest was empty, we traveled to all states and countries internationally by planes, trains, ships, and cars. Retiring meant giving back so we started volunteering and Ken took it to the ultimate level. Care ministry gave him such pleasure and new friends who loved and appreciated him and his dad jokes. He stole our hearts and they are broken, but loving cherished memories and faith sustained us.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Roseville Lutheran Church or local charities.
