Age 74, of Marine on St. Croix; passed away at home surrounded by family on April 30, 2026, following his battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna; brothers, Richard and Ralph; and sister, Ruth Ann.

Survived by wife of 52 years, Debra (nee Mickus); Sons, Chris "Trapper", Nikolas (Sarah), and Charles "Buck"; daughter, Sheri "Bears" (Tony) Leon; grandchildren , Journey, Angelina, Gigi, Bailey, Vivian "Dani", and Madison; brother, Roger (Patty); sister, Kathy (Ron) Schaack; and other family and friends.

Born and raised in St. Paul, Larry was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School. He was the longtime superintendent of Roselawn Cemetery, a member of the Saint Paul Club, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to golf. Larry was also a dedicated family man, and combined that with his love of the outdoors in the family's traditional getaway to Wabedo Lake in northern Minnesota. They will always treasure his steadiness, strength, humor, and quiet wisdom.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, May 4 from 4-8 PM at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Drive (Co Hwy 23). 

Internment at Roselawn Cemetery will take place at a later date.
