Lawrence John Ziegler "Butch", age 78, of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Butch was born on August 20, 1947, in Staples, Minnesota. He served his country in the United States Army and later built a long career at Excel Metal Finishing, where he worked as a foreman for many years. Throughout his life, Butch was known for his dedication, hard-working nature, and deep love for his family.
Butch enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. His greatest joy, however, came from being with his family whether attending family gatherings, spending time with friends, or simply enjoying moments with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also cherished the devoted companionship of his animals, Mia and Shadow, and treasured every moment with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ziegler, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; his children, Scott Ziegler, Lisa (Scott) Mattson, and Cindy (Nathan) Siebenaler; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Dewald and many relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gertrude Ziegler; his siblings, Rich (Ann) Ziegler, Viola (Joe) Dukowitz, Robert (Dorothy) Ziegler, John (Mary Kay) Ziegler, Romaine Ziegler, Patricia Austad, and Jim Dewald; and his daughter-in-law, Kristine Ziegler.
Butch will be remembered for his kindness, loving heart, and fun-loving spirit. He embraced life fully and found joy in the people and moments that mattered most. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved.
